What a lovely way to greet the day! A hot tea, March sunlight...and this lovely feature on Junebug Weddings!

I have been pressing to share Lindsay & Peter's day with you for SO LONG...but sometimes the best things are absolutely worth the wait. The decor, venue, and couple from this memorable day last September were among my very favourites. Every time I met Linds & Pete for a "wedding meeting" we ended up on sunny patios, wining and dining our way through floor plans and timelines (if you know Lindsay, she adores a good caesar as much as a good haircut!) We had SO MUCH FUN, and the outcome was this incredibly chic and ridiculously energetic, fun, and stylish woodsy wedding. It was the perfect formula.

Linds came to me with a very general, but ironically distinct, idea of what she wanted their big day to look like. Effortless but elegant. Gatsby...but not "Gatsby". Rustic but...please no picnic. Formal but not farmhouse. You get the vibe? I loved working with a bride who knew what she wanted, but trusted my styling & design skills enough to let go of the reigns. We had so much fun collecting ideas and refining details that by the time the day finally arrived, we both had over-the-moon expectations of how faaaabulous (spoken in true Lindsay form) the day was going to be. {Please note: it was also the very first time I was actually nervous that the bride wouldn't just LOVE my work. It was like handing in a grade nine science project and hoping for an A+). So, you can imagine how lovely it was to wake up this morning to read these fine words from the bride herself,

"Robyn at Blue Violet nailed it!"

Yay me! I think I'll count that as an A+ and carry it with me. As for Pete. What a stand up, beautiful, and hilarious gentleman. He took the drivers seat on the food & beverage front, curating the ultimate menu and signature drink list tailored specifically to suit their guests. These small details (from San Pellegrino in the park to the wild BC Salmon), truly made their guests feel like they were attending a small, intimate affair. With 130 on the guest list, this wasn't an easy feeling to create!

Thank you Lindsay & Pete for sharing your more than spectacular wedding day with me, and all your closest friends and family. The day was absolutely, perfectly you...and I'm so proud and honoured to call you friends!
