Real Wedding :: Cyan + Jories

Never does it get better than a woodsy wedding venue in the mountains, surrounded by friends and family! Cyan and Jories were the cutest couple in the World to work with, and their celebration was text book rustic chic. With feminine touches of lace and soft florals, we successfully turned The Brew Creek Centre into a lovely romantic getaway!

From the moment you walk on site at The Brew Creek Centre, you feel this sense of comfort, stillness, and calm. It's an oasis tucked in and away from the rest of the World, surrounded by lush gardens and towering trees. It smells of cedar and fresh flowers in bloom...a scent that makes you close your eyes and smile. Even on a rainy day, this venue feels warm and cozy.

Cyan's vision for her wedding day was easy to work with. A beautiful and elegant table setting to compliment the rustic venue; a celebration that catered to each of their guests and made them feel welcome, comfortable, and loved. With an intimate guest list of 50 people, we were able to add some personal touches that I just loved - like distributing corsages and boutonnieres to each guest! (Bathtub Gardens, thank you for making this achievable and stunning!)

The ceremony was snuggled between two tall trees, tucked away in the grass and lightly showered by rain. It was perfectly grey as the sun played behind the clouds, providing light bursts of hope as the couple said, "I do." Although the rain came at would seem, an inopportune time, it was one of my favourite ceremonies to date.

After the lovely (and slightly drizzly) ceremony, we tucked the guests inside by the fireplace to warm them up with cocktails and tunes by Ruckus Deluxe

The dining tables were subtle and soft, incorporating pale pinks with a neutral palette of burlap and lace. Lucky guests got to take home these pretty turquoise tins filled with custom macarons by Sugar Momma Pastries, which were not only delicious, but a great little accent to each place setting! Candles, vintage vases, and mason jars incorporated the rustic vibe of the venue, and guests had themselves a wonderful evening of good food, music, and company (and later, karaoke!!)

Here's to the joy filled moments that weddings leave us with for a lifetime. The laughter, the promises of future days, the hangovers, and the overwhelming sense of love and belonging. Thank you Cyan + Jories for letting me a part of your celebration!!
