'Tis the season!
Not for mistletoes or eggnog, nope! It's the season for white dresses and champagne. For lady love, and forever love. For showers, and celebrations...for vows and toasts.
It's my favourite time of the year :)
A short while ago, I got together with good friend and undeniable talent, Erica Chan. What happens during date day with two creatives? Well, magic of course! The result of our spontaneous collaboration was a beautiful garden themed bridal shower - a simple and earthy celebration of the bride-to-be. Focused around old fashioned love notes and rustic stems, the details in this shoot intend to bring forth the authentic simplicity of love.
My favourite details:
The Party Favours: baby blooms with name tags! How cute are these little take home buds for your babes? A simple and eclectic collection of small (3") bottles topped with a single blossom.
The Typewriters: a collection of typewriters offers your guests the perfect opportunity to write the bride a love note, a piece of marriage advice, or a favourite memory. Not only is this a wonderful keepsake for the bride, but it also give guests a fun activity to take part in while they sip bubbly!
The Invitations: keeping in tune with our garden party theme, these DIY invitations are sweet and simple! To get the look you will need: a polaroid of your favourite flower, craft paper or card stock, a calligraphy pen or simple sharpie, and some tape.
Overall, this pretty shoot is intended to inspire you to get back to your roots. Bridal showers don't need to be huge glamorous affairs, or frilly events with pink balloons and cupcakes (although those can be fun too!) Keep it simple, fill it with love and authenticity. Connect with your girls, and make memories.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the images below, as much as I enjoyed creating & styling each shot.
Happy wedding season!
