Claire comes from a strong background in the event industry and after years of leading catering teams at weddings she knew her passion was in wedding planning. She is dedicated to supporting our fabulous clients and stellar BVE team. She is always working behind the scenes to perfect our offerings & systems.
Strengthening relationships with the awesome community of venues and vendors in the Sea-to-Sky is another favourite part of the job.
She puts heart and soul into turning your wedding dreams into fruition. She’ll be emailing you the perfect spreadsheet, calling your vendors to make sure they didn’t miss the fine print, and triple checking your menu with the caterer. This is just who she is - and it’s the best damn thing ever!

Claire lives and breathes love in the mountains after moving to B.C almost 20y ago from Scotland.
When she's not working you can find her skiing or biking with her husband and two kiddos.
In another life she was a competitive freeride skier & coach
She is a wedding food enthusist with her fave combo for cocktail hour being oysters and champagne

to Alex
Simply put, flowers bring me joy and I love to share that joy with others. I am completely fascinated by the potential that exists within a nubby brown bulb to blossom into a wonderfully complex system of colour and texture. I believe that nature is the ultimate designer and love to incorporate foraged tidbits into my designs. Deep down, I’m a more-is-more kinda gal but love to also showcase the simplistic beauty of a single stem. I believe that flowers hold the potential to elevate any celebration through their intrinsic ability to brighten mood and spirit.
When not in the floral studio, I can be found skiing, biking and spending time in the forest with my family. My grandmother was a master rose gardener and I think of her every time I use a rose in my designs.

Meet Mel
Mel fronts the day of coordination department. She knows every venue like the back of her hand and what it takes to execute the smoothest day for you and your guests. Mel wears many hats and is definitely the brains behind the operations. Any questions you have about your day, she can answer! Shes seen it all. The part Mel enjoys the most about her work in the wedding industry is making the magic happen behind the scenes so you don't even know it is happening allowing the couple to be in the moment all day with family and friends.... oh and the cake or sweet treats.

In her other life Mel is a project manager and problem solver so her skills transfer perfectly into executing your dream day and finding solutions to anything and everything that may or may not happen!
Born and bred in the UK, Mel has a sweet accent but has called Whistler home for almost 20 years making her a long time local. She once attended a garden party with one of the most famous people from her homeland.
Happiest in the outdoors, you will typically find her in the mountains, by the ocean or travelling to experience new places far and wide, often on her mountain bike and always with her four legged side kick by her side.

When she’s not working her other job in customer service she moonlights as a paid-on-call firefighter serving her local community of Pemberton.
She loves adventuring with her partner and rescue dog, camping in the summer, mountain biking, and snowboarding in the winter.
She loves the hustle of event life but also values slow, nourishing days at home or in the woods. Her favourite part of weddings is the DJ and the dancing!
With a background in the corporate hotel catering and events world, Nicole is no stranger to large events with detailed timelines and complex logistics. While she no longer works full-time hotel life, she works steadily with us at BVE every summer to get her event-action fix.
She says, “I much prefer the satisfaction I get from being able to help couples celebrate their special day with their most cherished people in beautiful settings. I wish I’d found the wedding industry sooner!”
